Third Precinct police responded just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 for an aided at an abandoned residence in New Cassel at 1113 Broadway.
Upon police arrival, officers observed a Hispanic man in his 30s deceased in the rear of the structure.
Detectives were then called to investigate a homicide.
